Wheelie Bin Collections

If you register your mobile phone with SODC, you can receive a text message to remind you of changes to collection days due to Bank Holidays or adverse weather conditions. Just text ’waste’ and your normal collection day to 07797 870 370 and you will be sent a reminder the day before your collection.

Information for walkers

The villages of Aston Tirrold and Aston Upthorpe have over 20 kms of bridleways and footpaths, stretching from the Ridgeway to the south to South Moreton, north of the villages. 

The Parish Council has produced this map of local village walks which is available free to download which you may find useful.

Aston Tirrold & Aston Upthorpe Walkabout

This walkabout will help you explore the villages of Aston Upthorpe and Aston Tirrold, and give you an introduction to their history.

It is dedicated to Stephen Whitwell, who carried out much original research into the villages’ history, and who published the first edition of this guide in 1977.
