REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY & POPPY APPEAL 2020

REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY & POPPY APPEAL 2020

The government have published guidelines on how communities should prepare for Remembrance Sunday this year. In light of the current COVID-19 restrictions and requirements in England we would like to encourage villagers, with the support of the British Legion, to ‘stand in silence on our doorsteps’ before the 11th hour on Sunday 8th of November.

PLEASE OBSERVE THE 20 MPH SPEED LIMIT

PLEASE OBSERVE THE 20 MPH SPEED LIMIT

Everyone who lives in the Astons is aware of the need for careful and considerate driving in our community.

We don't have much in the way of pavements and there's no street lighting - so extra care is needed whenever we drive round our narrow and twisty roads. Added to this, we enjoy walking our children, dogs and many locals ride horses.

So really, 20mph is plenty fast enough for all traffic. We hope it will be respected by all who live in, or pass through our community.
