Astons Performing Arts Club (APAC)



APAC is planning to hold regular, monthly film screenings on the first Wednesday evening of each month. Please come along and support the club at these screenings. If you have any suggestions of favourite films, we would more than happy to hear them! 

Bring your own refreshments and a cushion! Doors open at 7.30pm for an 8pm start. Free to APAC members; £4 for non-members.

FUTURE EVENT - Friday 7 July Piano Recital by Cyril Ibrahim

One of the most exciting pianists of his generation’ (Daily Telegraph) 

This promises to be a very special musical evening and has been sold out.  Come and enjoy a glass of prosecco or two with canapés, then sit back and enjoy a wonderful, midsummer programme of pieces from Haydn, Chopin and Debussy. 

Having studied at the Rotterdam and Utrecht conservatories, Cyril completed a Master of Performance degree at the Royal College of Music under a full scholarship awarded by the government of The Netherlands.  He has gone on to perform at a number of major venues including the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, St John’s Smith Square in London and the Philharmonie in Berlin. Cyril became ‘Artist of the Week’ on BBC Radio 3 shortly after the release of his début album, ‘Dialogue’, which features works by Bach, Debussy, Schubert and Schumann. He has also appeared on ‘The One Show’ and recently played live on Radio 3’s ‘In Tune’. Co-founder of The World Harmony Orchestra which raises awareness of humanitarian causes, Cyril has worked with renowned pianists such as Maria João Pires. Peter Jablonski, Peter Donohoe and Steven Osborne.
