Astons Online aims to encourage people to be confident and safe users of the Internet and online services.
People from nearby villages of Blewbury, Chilton, Cholsey, Goring, North & South Moreton, Streatley and Upton are welcome at our free-of-charge monthly drop-in workshops.
Drop-in workshops are held in Astons Village Hall on the third Tuesday of each month between 10 am and 12 noon coinciding with the weekly Astons Cafe. Our volunteer tutors welcome all kinds of computer and user problems at the workshops where issues are assessed, analysed and, mostly, solved on the spot. We can also help with formal training courses, some of which are free.
The workshops' atmosphere is always friendly, engaging and inclusive; our volunteer tutors invariably learn much from dealing with visitors' issues.
Next drop-in workshops are:
- Wednesday 4 October 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
- Tuesday 24 October 10:00 am - 12:00 noon
both in Astons Village Hall.
Wednesday 4 October 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm is a special event devoted to helping people manage and store their digital photos using different devices (smartphones, tablets, laptops, PCs that use a variety of software - Apple, Microsoft, Google etc)
