About the scheme

What is the gigabit voucher scheme?

The Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme second wave (May 2019) will provide gigabit-capable broadband to homes and businesses in rural areas of the UK when part of a group scheme.

What is a gigabit connection?

A gigabit connection is a full-fibre connection to the premises (FTTP). (One gigabit is the same as 1,000 megabits.)   It’s a big leap forward in connection speeds and reliability from the fibre to the cabinet (FTTC) service that the Astons currently receive.

This is an overview of the DCMS Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme process.
